BMW X7 spied testing-Toyota Avensis revised-DS to reveal the DS5 in Geneva

It was just last year that BMW confirmed they were producing an all new X7 model. The vehicle is expected to go on sale in two years time but it appears that the model is already well into its production as it has been spotted undergoing some winter testing on the roads of Scandinavia. A recent image has surfaced online this week revealing the car wearing a full body of camouflage. For the moment, specifications are unknown and BMW are yet to reveal what engine selection will come along with the car. There is a lot of speculation though that the car will feature the fittings of a three litre diesel setup and a petrol engine that could also be carried over from the popular X5. We do not see a reveal coming this year but one of the big motoring events next year is certainly a strong contender for the debut of the next X7.

Toyota reveal big changes to their Avensis range

Toyota will be just one of the manufacturers on hand in Geneva this coming March and they have this week revealed one of their brand new models to be displayed at the event and it is a newly redesigned version of the Avensis. It is said that this is one of the most heavily revamped models in the companies range and we already have a brief idea of what changes have been made to the car. Toyota for the time being are keeping their lips sealed as far as the new changes are concerned but we expect that the brand are keeping the information to themselves until the Geneva revealing. First and foremost one of the big changes to be thrown into the mix of course is the engine range. Although remaining unconfirmed, expect to see the same 1.6 litre diesel engine found in the Verso MPV model inside of this car. Regarding some of the exterior changes to come fitted with the new Avensis, we will see a new set of bumpers for both the front and back end of the car the bonnet also receives some alterations as do the headlights. New interior highlights are also expected to be announced in Geneva aswell as price and launch time.

DS take the DS5 to a new level

Last year we reported on the news of DS and Citroen parting ways for DS to become their own brand. This year we are one step closer to the launch of the very first model to be sold by DS alone. The company are set to debut their brand new DS5 model which will be the first model produced by DS themselves. The new car will carry a range of new features and all will be displayed in Geneva next month. One of the big changes that will come along with the car include a host of new diesel engines placed underneath the bonnet. A hybrid version of the car will also be offered. Technology however is one of the biggest new features to come along with the redesigned DS5. The brand are looking to make it a big seller thanks to some of the most recent up to date gadgets. A new app will be launched to coincide with the vehicle called the 'MyDS' which will allow connectivity from Android and ios devices. This new app will show details about the owners car. DS are yet to reveal how much the DS5 will cost or when it will be available on the road but there is a strong chance that we may learn more of this news at its grand unveiling next month.
