Audi RS4 Novaro

New Audi RS4

This year is the 20th anniversary for the RS division at Audi and a special edition of the Audi RS4 model has been released as a mark of celebration. The model was on show today at the Geneva Motor Show.

Audi have arguably had the biggest impact at the Geneva Motor Show following the appearance of the standard Audi TT Coupe model alongside the new Audi TT Quattro Sport model and Audi S1. The new RS4 model shared the platform with the first ever RS2 model which had first been released back in 1994.

The new RS4 Nogaro model has the same matching paintwork to that released on the first model back in 1994. The interior of the model has gone the way of luxury with both Alacantra and Valcona leather seats along with high gloss black window slot trims. The RS badging can be seen all over the model including on the dashboard.

Under the bonnet will be the very impressive 4.2 litre V8 engine that is capable of achieving over 450 bhp and will be capable of reaching 0-62mph in just 4.7 seconds. The model also has the ability to reach a top speed of 174 mph. A six speed manual transmission on the model will be tasked with transferring the power from the engine to the wheels on the model.

The wide range of Audi model releases will come as no surprise, as owners Volkswagen Group look to capitalise on the success of last year and make the extra stride towards becoming the worlds best selling car manufacturer.

Volkswagen last year finished behind Vauxhall owners General Motors and Toyota. Toyota were crowned top of the charts for the first time since 2009 before the problems with production and recalls. This year will be a very interesting one for both the Audi brand and the Volkswagen Group.
