A brand new Mercedes M Class model has been spotted undergoing testing at the world famous Nurburgring today ahead of a planned launch which is expected to occur from late on into next year. Images of the vehicle testing have been taken and show the car in a new design structure. The vehicle did have some disguise come into affect at the front end of the vehicle but from the rear and side shots, the vehicle looks poised to be a powerful SUV style vehicle. These sort of vehicles are making it big on our roads as of late with companies such as the rival BMW brand making an impact with the X4 and X5 as of late. The SUV industry is one of the quickest and most popular expanding line ups in the automotive industry over the course of the most recent years but will Mercedes make a large impression on it with the new M Class model?.
Regarding some of the changes to the body structure we were referencing earlier, a brand new grille with four bars was spotted on the front end of the car as it raced around the track. Front air intakes and a revised front bumper are two other adjustments made to the front of the vehicle. If we change focus to the opposite end of the M Class, a redesigned boot lip and metallic colouring also features at the bottom of the car. One of the most eye catching features of the vehicle though was the brand new headlight clusters that have been fitted this time around.
No word has been revealed as of yet regarding the engine range involved with the car but it is believed that the current line up of engine will carry over to the new M Class which will mean a choice of five units coming in the form of a 3.5,4.6 or a 5.5 litre petrol V8. The current car also boasts two diesel units which are the 2.1 and 3.0 litre Turbo diesel units. A brand new nine speed transmission system entry to the range is also expected to be a key change next year.
The car is expected to go on sale in Mercedes dealerships world wide from the second half of the 2015 year. With the vehicle being tested this soon there is a high possibility that the car could first go on display for the public from the Geneva motor show next March.
