The BMW X6 reveal has been delayed

Originally planned for an official reveal at the Moscow motor show later on this month, the all new X6 SUV from German manufacturer BMW has now been pushed back to the Paris motor show this coming October. The car was to be revealed this month in the flesh to the general public and media alike but the decision has been made to push this back due to potential customers for the car more likely to be attending the Paris motor show. This was stated by BMW, but it has been confirmed that the launch time for the vehicle will remain the same and will still see a global launch this coming December. The first generation X6 model has proven to be a key addition for the mass manufacturer as globally it has been reported that the car has over 250,000 units sold all around the world.

What is expected from the second generation X6 ?

Changes to the new line up of X6 models will come from adjustments to the engines used and the power that they will give out. Much more interior room and designs will also come along with the second installment of the X6. One petrol engine and the choice of two diesel engines have been confirmed to come along with the car. A top spec 4.4 litre, V8 turbo charged engine will also top off the range. A 443bhp output will come with this engine range and will also see the X6 make the sprint from 0 to 62mph in just 4.8 seconds overall. An eight speed automatic gearbox has also been confirmed by the firm to come along with all variations of the car.

In regards to some of the other changes you can expect to receive with the new X6,agility and response times have been improved compared to the first model by the fitting of a aluminium chassis. Length, width and all round interior space is a key factor in the launch of the second generation model which will prove to be a welcome addition to the line up in our opinion.

The vehicle of course comes in the manner of an SUV and in a world where the SUV market is vastly increasing as the months go by, we see the X6 producing much heated competition out of German rival Audi and others including Mercedes with some top rated SUV models on the market right now and some set to launch later this year.

How much will the BMW X6 go on sale for ?

It has been confirmed that prices for the second generation BMW X6 will start of at £51,150 and you can expect to see the brand new BMW SUV
reach showrooms/dealerships from December this year.
