A new Nissan Leaf-Citroen Berlingo revealed-a new electric sports car

The Nissan Leaf has quickly become one of the best selling and most loved electric vehicles on the road of the past number of years. The car has had buyers flooding in to make the purchase which has helped to see a year on year sales increase for the model. With the overall success that the Leaf has proven to been, there is a lot of anticipation behind a new second generation model of the car. Unfortunately at this moment in time though, we regret to inform you that the launch of the new model could still be quite some time away. A spokesman for Nissan has confirmed that an all new second generation model is definitely in the design process right now but we are told that we should not expect to learn any more information on the vehicle until later on into the course of this year. Both Tesla and Chevrolet will be preparing to reveal new electric models this year that will most definitely contend with the new Leaf but can a forthcoming second lifespan for the car do it proud and prove to be just as successful as the first generation line up?.

Citroen reveal more on the new Berlingo model

We first learnt of the news about a new Citroen Berlingo model last week and we are pleased to reveal that within the past hour, the same company have revealed some more information regarding the specifications of the brand new model. The car will be shown in its full form for the first time in Geneva in March but for now we have a list of some of the new changes brought to the Berlingo. So to begin with looking at it from the outside, a reshaped front grille is matched up with new LED lighting. New colour designs will also be made available with the Berlingo which both consist of different Grey paint jobs. An electronic version of the model has also been confirmed by the French firm which will see the use of a single electric motor but it is not expected to be the most popular choice considering it only achieves a top speed of 68 miles per hour.

New additions for the engine range however consist of Euro 6 diesel engines all coming in Blue HDI form. There are three of these up for grabs which all pack different power outages. 74 brake horse power,99bhp and your top range 118bhp engines are up for the offering. New technology will also be offered with the Berlingo but these will not be introduced until later this year. A seven inch touch screen system will allow drivers to connect their smartphone up to the screen which will also work as a sat nav. Follow this story over at the Geneva Motor Show next month to find out more about launch times and prices.

A new electric sports car to debut this year

EV models are taking the world by storm recently with models such as the Renault Zoe and Nissan Leaf all holding a strong place in new car sales for the UK. BMW and Tesla are also renown for their additions into the segment. This year though a new company based in Finland called Torodion are to reveal a new electric sports car in Monaco this coming April. News on the car is being kept very quiet for the moment but we expect the car to be just a concept vehicle for the moment. A whopping 1,341 brake horse power has been recorded as a power output for the car and two images have been revealed by the Finnish company which show the model in front of a dark background but just about show the design structure featuring a long sloping bonnet line and aero dynamic, curved shaping along both the right and left sides of the vehicle. It will be interesting to see what this mystery car has to offer when it is revealed in April.
