Nissan and Mazda issue further recalls and the first Lexus RC F arrives

Vehicle recalls have been headlining automotive news quite a lot as of late. The big recalls are the Takata air bag recalls affecting over ten manufacturers on a global scale. Today though Nissan have just issued a recall on around 470,000 of their SUV models due to a problem with a fuel leak. These recalls affect certain parts of the world with Europe with 22,500 models being affected over here. Other countries are affected are North America,Japan,China,The Middle East and Africa. The cars affected by this recall include the well loved Juke, the Serena, X Trail,Pulsar,Tiida,Patrol and range of Infiniti models consisting of the M56,QX56,Q70 and QX80. Models made between 2012 and 2015 have also been confirmed to be affected. The problem rests within the fuel pressure sensors on the cars which may have not been tightened enough which could then lead on to a possible fuel leak. If you are an owner of an affected vehicle, Nissan will be in contact with you to make you aware. Nissan have said that your nearest dealership will replace the fuel sensors if needed and will do so free of charge.

Mazda expand their Takata recall

The news was announced earlier on today that Honda are to expand their Takata airbag recall to other parts of the world and the Mazda brand are another firm who have today announced that they are to do much of the same. The further recall will not however expand across other countries but will affect the United States. The company are yet to reveal when the expanded recall will come into play or what vehicles are to be affected but following the global recall from Honda, Mazda have commented and stated that they are not sure whether to follow Honda and do the same themselves. Keep checking back with us for the latest developments on the air bag recall situation.
