The Volkswagen Passat is redesigned in order to bring in more custom

The Volkswagen brand are well known on the streets of the United Kingdom as has been demonstrated over the years by the great sales figures that circulate around the Golf and Polo. It is this year that the company have introduced a new Scirocco model onto our streets which could be the ideal family car of 2014. Just last week in Paris the company also revealed their brand new Golf Alltrack model which is an estate version of the Golf. What about other vehicles though from the brand such as the Passat which has made it big across other parts of the world but not done so well in terms of European sales?. Well the VW brand look to change all of that this time around with the brand new addition of the revised Passat model which has officially gone on sale and is available in European countries right now.

What new features and parts of the new Passat help it make an impact?

A lot of work on the revised Passat has been focused on the transmission of the car, exterior changes and some added pieces of equipment too. When it comes to finding that ideal vehicle on the road these days, customers may look into the kind of technology that comes with the vehicle, the power and performance aspect and the look and design of the structure of the car or perhaps all combined. If this is the case for you, we certainly believe that Volkswagen may have hit the nail on the head this time around. Regarding changes to the looks and design of the car, we see that the German firm have included the fittings of a lowered bonnet, a redesigned windscreen and more creases added to the body work. All of these aspects have been brought into play in an attempt to make the car more dynamic and agile than previous additions in the range.

In regards to the power and performance side of things, we see that the company have included a range of engines which include a 1.6 litre Blue HDI diesel unit,a TDI engine which is the most powerful in the range as demonstrated by the 137bhp it delivers and your final option is a 2.0 litre, four cylinder unit. The 2.0 litre model is expected to be the most popular variant up for grabs and fitted with the standard six speed manual gearbox, it sees a power output of 148bhp and a top speed reached overall of 137 miles per hour. All wheel drive and front wheel drive are both different platforms to choose from also. A set of 18 inch alloy wheels also find a place in the Passat this time for the range topping model whereas other trim levels receive 17 inch wheels. The interior of the car also benefits from some of the latest technology too as the company now introduce the fittings of both a built in sat nav navigation system and a 6.5 inch colour touch screen can also be found in the cabin.

Is the redesigned Volkswagen Passat good value for money?

We certainly believe so yes. The expected popular version of the car set to be the 2.0 litre variant has officially gone on sale for a purchase price of £25,135 and we are pleased to deliver on the good news that the car is available to drive away from your local Volkswagen dealership right now.
