Toyota Hybrid-R sketched has been released

More details have been released of the Toyota Hybrid R, which is inspired by the Yaris, the details have been revealed ahead of the car's official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The company released more details and an official sketch on the Hybrid - R concept.

The car is based on the Toyota Yaris and combines a 1.6 litre Global Race Engine along with two electric motors for a total of over 400 brake horsepower. The motors drive the back wheels and the engine drives the front to make the model all wheel drive.

This will be the first road car from the company to feature any hybrid technology from their Le Mans racer. A super capacitor powers the electric motor, which harvests energy that has been lost due to braking. The brand will be showcasing it's fuel cell technology at the event, ahead of a production car for 2015.

There was a gloomy preview image of this new Toyota Concept released last week, which teased a few styling details like the front end, which is Yaris inspired. The new sketch that has been released on the internet features the Hybrid-R in a lot more detail and giving people a taster of what to expect when it becomes one of the must see vehicle's at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
