Ford Announce New Power Updates for the Fiesta and Focus

Ford Announce New Power Updates for the Fiesta and Focus

The two best selling cars in the UK in the form of the Ford Fiesta and the Ford Focus are about to be given an all new power upgrade. The already attractive and appealing models will be given a Mountune power upgrade and if you have a Fiesta or a Focus model you can pay for the upgrade.

The Ford Fiesta has been the best selling car in the UK for a little over 12 months and the Ford Focus has not been far behind. Both the Ford Fiesta and the Focus model have helped the US company to one of their most profitable years in trade as the firm recorded record breaking sales.

As the Ford Fiesta and Focus are two of the best selling vehicles across Europe, Ford have cleverly designed an update that could earn the firm a considerable amount more money. The attractive update of an increase in both power and torque will be sure to push the Fiesta and Focus owners through the doors of the Ford Garage.

The Focus ST will benefit from the upgrade as the 2.0 litre Eco Boost engine will see the power increase to 271 bhp as well as the Torque being increased to 295lb ft. The Fiesta ST upgrade pays close attention to the air box as a new secondary duct will be added to improve the power of the engine to 212 bhp. The sprint time of the Fiesta is 0.7 seconds slower than the Focus which was improved to a 0-62 time of 6 seconds.

Ford have announced that a total of 120 appointed Mountune dealers will have the ability to apply the updates to your Fiesta or Focus model. The US company have once again cleverly used the idea of an update to separate themselves from the competitive brands out there. Both the Vauxhall Corsa and the Astra models go head to head with the Fiesta and the Focus in the UK car market and all four models seem to have alternative success with one month Vauxhall being on top and the other Ford being on top.

However, Ford have topped the UK sales chart for over 12 months and Vauxhall will be keen to change that figure.
