The
Nissan Micra has been updated by the company and the facelifted vehicle gets a more masculine look, an improved interior and new infotainment technology.
There are rather extensive changes to the front end of the vehicle, with the Micra adopting a new grille, headlights, bumper, bonnet and wings, which create a less bug eyed look, which fits in a lot better with the remainder of
Nissan's range.
There are less prominent changes at the back of the vehicle, though the bumper has been subtly tweaked and a set of LED tail lights have been fitted. Buyers are also now able to choose the colour of the wheelcaps and the door mirrors. There are also a selection of new paint colours, including Pacific Blue and there is a fresh design for the alloy wheels.
On the interior of the vehicle, the centre console has been completely restyled and is now finished in a gloss black which gives an extremely classy effect. All models now come equipped with a 12V socket which can be used for charging electric devices whilst on the move in your vehicle.
The latest infotainment system NissanConnect is also now offered, this features a screem which has increased from 5 to 5.8 inches. It has Google Send to Car technology fitted also, which allows drivers to plan a route and then send instructions to the car.
There have been no changes to the engine line up or the chassis of the vehicle. So it is the same choice of a 1.2 litre petrol engine with 79 brake hosrpower or a supercharged 1.2 litre engine with 97 brake horsepower. The latter engine claims rather impressively low CO2 emissions of 95g and a fuel economy of 68.9 mpg. The standard engine has 115g of CO2 emissions and 57.0 mpg fuel economy.
This facelifted
Nissan model will go on sale in the United Kingdom in September, though pricing hasn't been revealed as of yet, it is expected that very little would have changed in this area.
