In some car news today regarding the Mercedes rivalling, company known as Volkswagen,we are pleased to report on the latest news that has broken regarding an all new Hybrid EV version of the ever so popular Polo model from the brand that could be set to launch very soon and could indeed prove to be one of the biggest and best selling car's in the companies history providing the vehicle has the amount of success that Volkswagen are hoping for. It is rumored that when the model launches it could be as early as next year, and is rumored to be called the Polo GTE. The brand have always been famous for their lines in Polo and Golf models, and what better way to certify their supremacy with these models than by making the step to all Electronic.
In regards to making a great all round vehicle, we personally believe that, Volkswagen had it spot on the first time when they originally released the Polo hence the unprecedented success the vehicle has had over the course of it's duration. But things can only continue to improve for the brand, and for us that's where the Polo comes into play. Although nothing has been confirmed directly from the brands owners as of yet, it is expected that regarding the engine and power train of this vehicle, we will see these come in the form of something similar to that of the,1.4 litre, turbo, petrol engine that comes pre fitted into the,Golf GTE and Audi A3 e-tron vehicle, and electric motor will of course come as part of the package aswell. It is rumored also that the consumer will be faced with the choice of, a two cylinder, diesel engine and an all new electric motor setup at the official time of the vehicles release.
Sadly no other features and key components have been announced by the brand owners as of yet, but we do expect to hear more on this vehicle that could potentially rival the likes of, Volvo and Mini amongst other brand's, throughout the duration of this year.
Firstly in regards to an estimated launch time for this all new step in EV technology, an exact date is yet to be announced but you can expect to see this vehicle in your nearest selected VW dealerships sometime around the end of 2015, with an expected price tag coming with the Polo Hybrid at around the £20,000 area.
