Volkswagen officially reveal the brand new Passat model

Volkswagen officially reveals the brand new Passat model

Today, exciting automotive industry news is coming out of Volkswagen's German car manufacturer. We are pleased to report on the official announcement regarding the all-new Passat model, which is set for a release next year. The Passat is expected to be revealed in full this October at the Paris motor show.

Over the years, we have seen Volkswagen dominate most of the car market with vehicles such as the Golf and the Polo. The Passat model has also proven to be a key ingredient to the success of the Volkswagen brand.

The original Passat was launched in 1973 and was a HUGE success for Volkswagen. In fact, it helped the company become the largest carmaker in Europe by 1974. The new Passat is set to continue this legacy with an updated design that is both modern and stylish.

What was officially revealed regarding this particular model's official specs and features is that the car will have a longer wheelbase than its predecessor. This results in more space for passengers in the cabin, as well as a larger trunk. In addition, the new Passat will be available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain option in some markets.

The features announced for the Volkswagen Passat model.

We start with a look into the engine ranges on offer with this particular model. We see the welcome additions of a plug-in hybrid engine which consists of a 1.4-litre TSi engine which produces 154 brake horsepower with the motor set to produce 107 brake horsepower. Another engine addition will also come along with the Passat, the 2.0-litre TDi bi-turbo engine, which will produce 237bhp. The remaining options consist of 1.6 litres Tdi and a 2.0-litre TDi.

Some extra pieces of equipment that will come along with this car that we believe could be some key selling points consist of a 12.3 inch TFT display screen, a 6.5-inch colour display. Chrome exhaust pipes, a brand new rear bumper and an all-new sweeping set of headlights will come along with the car.

Therefore, the new Passat could give its competitors a run for their money.

How much will the Volkswagen Passat cost?

It is expected that the new Passat will be officially revealed this October at the Paris motor show, and it is likely that this car will go on sale for a cost somewhere around the £22,000 area.

Will the new Passat prove a success?

This car is not only a great investment for Volkswagen but time will tell to see if it will also be a game-changer in the automotive industry as a whole. We are excited to see how this car develops and we will keep you updated with any new information as it arrives.
