World leading brand in the motorcycle industry Honda have recently revealed a brand touring style motorcycle which is to make its public debut at the Motorcycle live event this coming November and will then go on to make its first set of delivers at Honda showrooms from this December. The brand new motorbike named the VFR 800X could be set to be the most advanced touring model that the brand have on offer. Some past tourer models from the company which have made it big on our roads include the likes of the VFR 1200F and of course the world known Goldwing. The success that these two machines have attained over their time on the roads has been astounding and if the way Honda design touring motorcycles takes affect this time around with the VFR800X, they may very well have another huge seller on their hands that could help them compete with the BMW brand who are famous in the motorbike world for touring models.
So if we take a look into some of the brand new features and specifications to come along with the VFR 800X we see that Honda have been very generous this time around when it comes to standard pieces of kit. With tourers being well known for their power, we will first begin with a look into what will power the machine. A big 800cc V4 engine will be included during production time which will hit an overall output of 105 brake horse power. An aluminium twin beam frame and swingarm has also been confirmed by Honda and with aluminium being very much the theme, the 17 inch aluminium hollow cast wheels should help give the VFR 800X that added boost when it comes to performing efficiently and in a very lightweight aspect. The use of ABS has also been included as standard.
The VFR will also receive LED lighting, self cancelling indicators and a set of heated grips all as standard included within the purchase price. The suspension system on the bike has also been altered in order to make the comfort aspect of the bike even better than its predecessors from the VFR division. The styling of the bike has also been changed. The images of the VFR 800 X as revealed by the Japanese manufacturer show the motorbike in both a Red and Black paint scheme with a smaller front screen and a more pointed front end. Think of some 125cc models from the KTM brand in regards to the front pointed end. Red and Black seems to be a good selling paint scheme for the Honda firm as one of their most loved bikes of the past the CBR600F also proved to be a key seller amongst riders all around the world. Will the VFR 800X follow in its footsteps though?.
At this moment in time, nothing has been confirmed as of yet however, we expect this and more to be revealed by the company behind it this coming November from the Motorcycle live show which takes place between the 22nd and 30th. Deliveries are also confirmed to arrive this coming December.
