The ZX 6R 636 from Kawasaki receives thirty year anniversary edition

In continuation of a news story we reported on yesterday fresh out of the motorbike world regarding Japanese manufacturer Kawasaki. To celebrate thirty years in the motorbike industry, a special thirty year anniversary model of the ZX 10R was officially launched. Today though we are pleased to report that the same has been done for the brands big selling ZX 6R 636 bike also. A lot of the features of the bike stay the same as the original model which was first introduced back in 1995. The main noticeable change though is indeed the paint scheme for this particular addition. It benefits from the lime Green and Crystal White scheme that the ZX10R does and we think this could very well be the perfect way to celebrate thirty years of success.

Does the ZX 6R still pack that powerful kit ?

To answer simply..yes it does. If you do not remember what features come along with this bike though, please allow us to refresh your memory.

Engine wise, Kawasaki have included a four stroke engine which also comes completely liquid cooled, a fuel injection system also finds it's home with the ZX6R also. Along side these power producers we also see the additions of a digital ignition system and an electric starter as standard. Expect to receive the basic six speed transmission and a Mono block braking system which is in our opinion is one of the best available today. A wet multi disc clutch and a 17 litre fuel tank also carry over also.

Kawasaki for many years have provided Japanese rivals Honda and Suzuki with much competition especially as far as the ZX 6R model is concerned. With an added paint scheme and the power it packs, we certainly have no trouble believing it will continue to do so.

The colour design is quite unique as the Crystal White features are thrown in for the front part of the fairing. It does help the bike stand out in our opinion.

How much will the 30th anniversary ZX 6R cost ?

Will the bike has already gone on sale which is our first piece of good news regarding a release. Secondly if you are interested in making the purchase on this bike, expect to pay a cost of £9,149 brand new. You do also have the option of ABS fitted as standard also which sees the price boost up by a total of £1,000 to give a final cost of £10,149.
