In a look today at some good motorbikes available on the road right now, we have a look into the X7660 R model that is currently on offer right now from the Yamaha brand. Yamaha are famous for some sports bike models such as the R1 and the R6 amongst many more. This XT660 R model though is an addition to the companies adventure bike range and could be ideal for both on road and off road use. The bike itself looks like a motor cross style machine but in terms of looks and the way this specific model has been designed, we think it is very attention grabbing. How well does this bike actually perform though against the likes of Honda and others ?.
So what has made the cut when it comes down to the production aspect of this particular bike and why should you make the purchase on this model over anything that shares it's capabilities from the likes of Suzuki and Ducati ?. Well we welcome in the addition of a 660cc liquid cooled engine. It comes complete with an electronic starter and an electronic fuel injection system also comes along as part of the package too. The XT660 R also comes with a five speed, constant mesh transmission also. Adventure bikes are well known for carrying a lot of fuel and oil also but we see this side of things for the XT 660R as a little bit of a downside as this XT600R model only carries 15 litres of fuel where as only 2.9 litres oil can be carried.
In terms of the look and design of this bike, it is available in two different paint schemes, these come in all black and the second option is all white. All in all though we do see this model as an ideal rival going up against similar style machines from the likes of Kawasaki.
We are pleased to let you know that the Yamaha XT 660R is officially on sale right now and can be purchased from your closest Yamaha showroom or dealership. £6,499 is the official price tag that also comes along with this brand new addition to the Yamaha line up.
