Last week a teaser image was revealed which shown the new Mitsubishi Outlander model which will go on full display from the New York Motor Show in April. However when the car was revealed in the teaser last week, the image quality wasn't at its best which led us to believe that the brand would be revealing more in the future. We were right with this guess too as the brand today revealed another tease image but this time showing the car in much clearer detail.
The new model looks to carry some similar features to the firms Concept-S model and these new features include the new headlight design and front grille which has been redesigned compared to that of the current Outlander. The rear lights have also received some reshaping too. New alloy wheel designs can also be seen taking their place outside of the new Outlander. Mitsubishi have stated that they have made some big changes underneath the bonnet technically by improving the stability of the car and enhancing the throttle response of the vehicle. Noise reduction is also a very important part of the new changes brought to this Outlander. We expect to see and hear of more on this brand new car when it receives its grand debut from the New York Motor Show next month.
Pirelli tyres sold to China
Italian tyre maker Pirelli and their products have officially been sold to the China National Chemical Corp for a total figure of 7.1 billion Euros. Fear not though as this does not mark the end of Pirelli tyres as their products are sold on and will be developed in the future by ChemChina in partnership with Pirelli. The Italian company are one of the worlds best tyre designers along side both Michelin and Dunlop so to see the Italian firm grow in this way is a very big deal for both parties involved and the automotive industry in general.
Jeep and Fiat to cross paths once again further down the line?
The new Renegade model from Jeep is an suv that has been developed in co ordination and shares the very same driving platform as the Fiat 500X. The anticipation behind the vehicle is very exciting and many customers are looking forward to purchasing one of the new Renegade models. The news that Fiat and Jeep crossed paths with the platform does not stop there though. The latest to come out of this merging is that in the future there could very well be a new model developed in much of the same way between Jeep and Fiat. The latest word is that two more brand new suv models are in development and will both yet again share the same platform. We could be quite some time away from this new model for the time being and information is being kept quiet for now. The new Renegade model however is a perfect example of what a partnership between Jeep and Fiat can produce and we expect to see much of the same in the future.
