The month of October this year will be one of the biggest times of the year for the automotive industry as the Paris motor show will land and not just that but we will also see the brand new addition of a diesel variant of the Pulsar model from Japanese manufacturer Nissan. The Pulsar is a good selling vehicle for the Nissan brand. Production of the car originally began in 1978 and ended in the year 2000. Earlier on into this year, the Nissan brand officially confirmed that the Pulsar model will be relaunched here in the United Kingdom and the new model will be produced in the brands factory over in Barcelona Spain rather than the companies plant here in the UK in Sunderland. It is expected that this brand new diesel variant of the car will be the brands biggest selling model in the line up and is all set to go head to head with vehicles such as the iconic Golf from German brand Volkswagen.
It has been confirmed that when the car arrives on our streets from next month, there will only be one diesel unit offered with the car. This means we see the fitting of a 1.5 litre, four cylinder, turbo diesel engine which combined with the standard six speed manual gearbox will see a power deliverance of 109 brake horse power overall. It has also been confirmed that regarding speed limitations to come with this diesel variant, you can expect the brand new model to hit top speeds in total of 115 miles per hour with the sprint from 0 to 62 miles per hour being achieved in just 11.5 seconds. The Pulsar diesel will only be offered as a front wheel drive variant. There are controls located on the steering wheel and a built in sat nav system and much more interior space than ever before are key selling points for the vehicle in our opinion.
The Pulsar has taken on much competition from various manufacturers all around the world over the years including vehicles from brands like Ford, Renault and the Toyota brand. This new diesel variant of the car is expected to be top flight source of competition for cars like the brands own Qashqai which has revived the SUV sector over the years.
This version of the Pulsar will officially arrive in Nissan dealerships/showrooms from next month and we are pleased to inform you that the purchase price to come along with car will come in at a total of £20,345.
