In some exciting news today regarding recent vehicle launches, we today cast our attention to the well known Mini brand who are responsible for the grand launch of the all new One D 1.5 litre. This version of the car is a diesel variant and could very well prove to be one of the finest diesel models available around the world right now. Mini are most well known for smaller style city cars and have achieved much success in the past thanks to vehicle additions like the Clubman,Paceman and Cooper. This all new addition to the brands line up though is an addition to their big selling One range. The One line up is currently in it's third generation and the 1.5 D is the entry level version of the third generation car. There are a number of features which have been included with the car during its time on the production line to help boost performance rates and features which the company are hoping can bring in much success for the entry level diesel.
So regarding the actual engine itself and what kind of performance rates you can expect to get out of it, we see that the car comes with the fitting of a 1.5 litre, three cylinder diesel engine. This is the same unit that the brand currently use in their popular Mini Cooper D. The addition of a Twin power turbo injection system and a common rail direct injection system help boost performance rates and power outputs for the car very well. We this demonstrated by an output of 94 brake horse power and an improved fuel economy which upgrades to 83.1mpg from 80.7mpg. As standard you can also expect to find the six speed manual transmission system come along with the 1.5 D. A top speed of 1118 mph can be reached and this is helped to reach its destination by the eleven seconds in which it takes the vehicle to hit speed areas of 62mph from a standing start. As far as features and other pieces of equipment are concerned, there are not a lot of changes compared to that of the petrol variant of the One. More soft touch plastic materials are used for the interior of the car and the addition of a built in centre console also comes along for the journey.
In the past we have seen the Mini go head to head with various other manufacturers and with the inclusion of this entry level One D we can see this being the case once again with other car brands such as Ford with the Fiesta and the Vauxhall Corsa.
We are firstly pleased to inform you that this entry level Mini One D is available to purchase right now from your local Mini dealership/showroom. In regards to how much you can expect to pay out for this brand new Mini addition, expect to pay out a total of £14,890.
