Next week will mark another Paris motor show and some brand new vehicles are set to go on display to both the press and general public alike. The Paris motor shows bring us some of the finest and up to date vehicles on the market and even new variations of currently existing cars. This year brings us a completely new vehicle division though which has come directly from the French firm Citroen. The DS line up have proven to be very beneficial to the Citroen brand over the years as we have seen some additions such as the DS3 make up high sales figures for them. Now though much like they have already done so over in China, the DS range are set to break of into their own brand here on European markets and their first port of call is the revealing of the DS Divine.
Images of what the new car is set to look like have been revealed and the car is demonstrated in a look which contains a brand new body design and structure which will help the car out tremendously when it comes to dynamics and agility. The vehicle is shown with a sloping roof line and bonnet and the additions of creases located across both the left and right door panels of the car. At this moment in time the DS Divine is just a concept idea but given a good reaction and positive feedback from customers it could very well go into production soon into the future. Some features of the car that could help it stand out against anything else on the market have been revealed in these images including new parts and accessories. Features like a large grille which is surrounded by chrome and the use of carbon fibre materials come along with the Divine. Both leather and fabric interior inserts and seating have been confirmed for the car with the buyer given this choice.
Now for those of you wondering about what kind of power output the Divine DS could deliver on, it has been confirmed that the use of a 1.6 litre, turbo unit will come included as part of the deal which will be set to see a power deliverance of 270 brake horse power. C02 emissions of just 145g/km have also been stated to be produced. The DS Divine looks to push the boundaries of advancements within technology also as the firm have confirmed that for the first time, the vehicle would receive laser indicators and a holographic display system. At this moment in time there is not really a lot we could compare the DS Divine to on the market until we hear more about the overall specifications of the vehicle itself. As far as technological advancements go though we would definitely have to take into consideration the Audi R8 LMX and the i8 from the BMW firm who have recently incorporated brand new laser light technology into the automotive industry.
It is uncertain at this moment in time as to whether or if even at all the car will go on sale in the future and for what it would cost you to be a proud owner of the machine. The Divine DS concept is set to be revealed next week at the Paris motor show.
