January of 2015 will play host to the arrival of the brand new Vauxhall Corsa. Due to be revealed this coming October from the Paris motor show, the Vauxhall Corsa will be introduced to the world and could have the potential to be one of the finest additions to the line up in recent years. The very first Vauxhall Corsa was introduced to the world back in 1982 and has since then proven to be one of the biggest and most reliable city cars to ever see a launch in the car industry. It has seen of competition from the likes of Toyota amongst many other manufacturers over the recent years and now in a world where city cars are becoming increasingly more popular can this new model adapt to current generations and prove to be a key contender in the hunt for the top city car ?.
Although this vehicle is a city car, we still see that a good range of engines will go on sale with the vehicle. For example, it has been confirmed that the car will benefit from a choice of a brand new 1.0 litre, three cylinder engine. A range of 1.4 litre, turbo and non turbo engines will also make their presence felt. 69 brake horse power will be produced from the entry level petrol engine whereas 89bhp and 99 brake horse power will come from the turbo and non turbo range. A 1.3 litre CDTi engine will also be carried over to the car which will produce between 74 and 94 brake horse power. A standard six speed, manual gearbox will come along with these engine ranges although some engine ranges will also benefit from the choice of six speed, automatic transmission systems.
An all new dashboard and centre console will make their arrival with the new Corsa although interior space and boot space will remain the same as the current line up. All new LED daytime running lights and front fog lights also come along as part of the package.
The Corsa for many years has delivered on some great competition for the Fiesta from American manufacturer Ford and the DS3 for French rival Citroen. With what we know of the new addition to the Vauxhall family, we certainly have no trouble believing this to be the case once more.
The brand new Vauxhall Corsa for 2015 will be revealed at the Paris motor show this coming October and it will make it's first set of deliveries from January 2015. Sadly a price for the car is yet to be confirmed by Vauxhall however, we do think that this will be revealed by the brand at the Paris motor show.
