Today we take a look into the big GL1800 F6C motorbike from Japanese car and motorbike brand Honda which is on sale right now around the world and is perhaps one of the companies biggest and most powerful motorbikes on offer right now. The brand are well recognised for there line up of Fire Blade models and have also been known for there vast line up of 125 bikes too. Do they come close to this custom GL1800 model though and is this ideal rival for similar machines such as the ZX1400 from Kawasaki and other firms such as Yamaha ?.
So what has made it into this particular model during production time to help it make an impact on both new and used motorbike markets and can it prove to be the ideal motorbike for long journeys ?. Well first off we see the addition of an 1800cc, liquid cooled engine that is also joined along side by an electric starter and a huge 23.2 fuel tank capacity. A 12 volt battery and a five speed transmission as standard also make for a much more enjoyable riding experience. Four piston brake callipers and cast aluminium wheels also add to the excitement.
We see a telescopic fork suspension system and ABS also comes pre fitted to this model also. Looking at the smoothness of this bike on the road, we see this goal is achieved by the welcome inclusion of a Hydraulic, wet multi-plate clutch system.
An enclosed shaft final drive and a big 4.7 oil capacity are also another neat added feature to the GL1800.
The GL1800 model is made available in two different colour schemes and we see these come as Black and Maroon. Our choice would be the Black.
The official price range to come along with a brand new version of this motorbike currently stands at £17,999 and you can purchase this wonderful machine right now from selected Honda showroom's and dealerships in your local area.
