With our focus on the motorbike world right now, we have a look into a new motorcycle launch for the Japanese firm known as Kawasaki. The bike in question comes in the form of the all new Z1000 SX Tourer. Tourer machines in the motorbike industry are rapidly on the increase. The BMW company are responsible for many of the big selling tourers on the market right now and have seen off competition from plenty of other manufacturers. Does this new Z1000 SX have the potential to take on the BMW range though and assert it's dominance onto the motorbike market with this addition ?.
So what went into this bike during it's time on the production line to help it stand out as a good tourer ?. Well we firstly see that Kawasaki have fitted a four stroke, liquid cooled engine. A direct fuel injection system also finds it's way into this bike. You can also expect to receive a digital ignition system and an electric starter system also as standard. As standard this bike comes fully fitted with a six speed transmission system and the additions of Monoblock brakes also make this one of the most excitement filled riding experiences you could wish to have. This bike also benefits from a large 19 litre fuel tank too.
With a look into the design scheme of the bike, we think that the three colours that come along with the bike could prove to be a key part of the selling of these bikes. We firstly see that Kawasaki have included that classic Lime Green colour scheme except this bike benefits from a metallic finish. Metallic Grey and Metallic Black are also your final two options. In regards to the looks of the bike, it shares a similar width to that of the Hayabusa from Suzuki and judging on the power side of the bike alone, we see it as some top flight competition for the likes of other brands such as Yamaha amongst many others.
The Z1000 SX for 2014 is available with two price tags, the reason behind this is that we see one of the models benefit from ABS as standard and the other without. So for the standard version of the bike, you can expect to pay a total cost of £9,849 whereas for the ABS fitted version it will set you back £10,249.
