The All New Audi Q8
Audi have developed a model that will look to go head to head with the new Range Rover Sport. We at Gap Insurance 123 have paid close attention to the developments at Range Rover in terms of the new Sport model and the feature at the New York Motor Show was something to be marvelled at.
The New Audi Q8 however, is looking to defer all attention away from the Range Rover Sport and towards themselves. The New Audi Q8 will be marketed as being the higher riding version of the Audi A8 model. The Audi model will feature as part of the Volkswagen Groups MLB platform which will also have other models such as the next Volkswagen Toureg and Porsche Cayenne on the line.
The same platform will also be a part of the developments at both Bentley and Lamborghini for there development of an SUV model. Audi insist that both the Q7 and the Q8 models will have enough to challenge the Range Rover Sport models.
Audi along with other manufacturers have seen the developments at Range Rover particularly with the Evoque model, effect sales of the other raised height and SUV models in the market. Audi have therefore looked to develop the range of models to challenge the likes of Range Rover. Audi have also had to take notice of the success of the crossover market and the Nissan models in particular.
Audi will once again have the biggest SUV on the market when the Q8 enters the market and Audi believe that there is no reason to change that. The Q7 more than the Q8 model will look to rival the likes of the Nissan crossover models due to its resemblance in size and shape rather than the Q8 model. The Audi Q8 is an exciting prospect for the company and it will be an interesting watch to see how both the Range Rover Sport and the Audi Q8 do in the car market.
