Subaru have recently revealed their all new Outback model which is all set to go on sale in the UK later this year. The company have now given a price tag to the car for when it launches and have confirmed that it will begin from £27,995. The order books on the vehicle have officially opened and we have all of the latest specifications announced for the car here aswell. The brand have said that not one but two engines will be offered with the new Outback with the first being a 2.5 litre petrol unit and the second a two litre diesel. There are both an automatic CVT transmission and a manual six speed gearbox on sale with the vehicle with the manual coming as standard. With the vast majority of Subaru vehicles, customers are faced with optional extras but we have found that the standard entry level SE model is very generous. A set of seventeen inch alloy wheels, heated seating and an all new touchscreen infotainment system is also an option. The higher trim does of course offer you even more equipment and fittings such as leather seats, a start button and the alloy wheels have grown by an inch to eighteen inches. So for a starting cost of £27,995 for an entry level model, we would say the new Outback will certainly be good value for money.
The results of new car sales for many manufacturers are still flooding in this month from 2014 and the latest brand to have their results revealed are Renault. Figures have been revealed that show Renault sold 2,712,432 vehicles world wide. Even more impressive though is that their subsidiary brand Dacia had made up for 511,465 of these new cars. The results also revealed that for Europe as a whole, sold 1,464,611 of these cars. Both the Dacia Duster and the Renault Clio were two of the biggest selling cars for the firm.
Pictures of a new Porsche Panamera have been posted online showing the car undisguised and out about testing in the snow. When the new car was seen in Sweden we also got a glimpse of the new styling direction in which the car has been taken. It is looking to be much more aerodynamic with extended body sloping from the roof through to the windscreen even more than we have seen previously. Specification lists are a little quiet for the time being but there have been reports that suggest that we may see both a V6 and V8 engine range come along with the new Panamera. A new hybrid powertrain will also find its place in the new model.
