Subaru Experience Popularity Rise!

Popularity of Subaru Soar After Top Gear Special

Subaru has been experiencing a recent decline in popularity over the last number of years which has consequently led to the Impreza model not being entered into the UK car market. However, after a Top Gear special which featured a Subaru Impreza WRX estate, popularity of used Subaru models has soared over the course of the week.

The Top Gear team embarked on a cross continent trek through Africa in search of the source of the River Nile and viewers watched as the Subaru Impreza WRX continued to impress throughout the trip. The four wheel drive 2.0 litre turbo engine seemed to have the ability to perform on all types of roads and challenges the car came across. Richard Hammond was the one to choose the Impreza WRX and insisted that it would be the best car for the job rather than the BMW 528i or Volvo 850 R chosen by the other presenters.

According to research carried out by an independent online motor dealer, the search for a used Subaru are up 243% since the first episode aired nearly two weeks ago and even better, whilst the show was on searches did in fact peak at an impressive 826%.

The Subaru brand was once one of the most popular brands on the market as the Impreza model drove its way to success in the World Rally Championsip. The Subaru Impreza WRX model gained a quick reputation of being the best 4x4 racing and rallying car available on the market. Still to this day there are many rally enthusiasts who believe the Subaru Impreza was the Rally car of the century and follow the developments of Subaru with a close and personal interest.

The loss of the Impreza model this year has been a sad one and a decision that didn't please the many number of Subaru enthusiasts who were interested in the model. Subaru insist that the market has somewhat disintegrated for Subaru models over the last few years and one day hope to back with a successful demand.
