Renault will launch a brand new Megane model onto the streets from mid way through the course of next year and it is a vehicle that the company will be looking to carry them into the future of the family vehicle market. Big news incoming today though is that the car has been seen out and about winter testing for the very first time. We already know of some new details regarding specifications about the car and technical changes but for now some information is being kept under wraps due to the disguise that was covering the car. So far we know that the new model will run on a platform which has been co designed by Nissan. The same range of both petrol and diesel engines will be thrown into the mix but it can be expected that these engine units will receive some work in order to increase the amount of power that the model puts out. Technology wise a brand new infotainment system will also be included. For the bodywork of the car, swept back designed headlights were one of the big new features that we could see. Sales in Britain for the Megane are not at their best with the model that launched in 2008 but we expect huge revisions to be made both outside and inside of the car in order to increase its popularity once again.
There was a lot of mystery surrounding the brand new concept idea from Lexus which was given the name of the LF SA. Our first look at the new design was expected to come from the Geneva Motor Show which gets underway from this week. However in an interesting turn of events, the vehicle has been leaked online ahead of its grand reveal. With the new images being revealed, the news has now been confirmed that the concept idea is a city car. LED lighting was clearly revealed via the images that were posted online aswell as large wheel arches which therefore we would expect to result in plenty of interior legroom. An all new spindle style grille was also confirmed. A Silver body work design and a Black roof aswell as Black alloy wheels make the vehicle look very smart. For the time being Lexus have not revealed whether the car will be put on the production line in the future or some design features such as the new front grille will be carried over to future models but it would be interesting to see just how much interest this car gathers when it is revealed in Geneva.
Hyundai have confirmed that a new i20 model will be launched onto the roads of India given the name of the i20 Active. There is also a lot of speculation that this newly updated model will also launch here in the United Kingdom due to the fact that it is being manufactured in Germany. The work done to the vehicle range includes new added components to the exterior design. Redesigned headlights using LED features also aswell as a restyled front bumper, front fog lights are now also included. Side skirting and new alloy wheel designs for the i20 Active will also complete the look. A brand new infotainment system is expected to be offered inside of the car and Hyundai are also expected to announce new colour designs for the interior cabin. The i20 Active goes on sale in India in just over two weeks but no confirmation is given for Europe as of yet. As soon as we hear anymore on this developing story, we will keep you informed.
