Porsche has unveiled the new Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS, with both models receiving more power and subtle styling tweaks. On the outside, the new models gain black 20 inch Carrera S alloy wheels, a new front spoiler, revised lower apron, black-backed bi-xenon headlights and black rear lettering.

Standard equipment for both vehicles includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Dynamic Lighting System, Sport Chrono package, Sports seats Plus within leather with Alcantara details.

The PASM system allows drivers to modify the damper stiffness and alter the engine's throttle response for a more focused drive.

The Porsche Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS specs

The manufacturer's new models are powered by a 3.4 litre flat-six boxer engine that produces 15 brake horsepower over their respective S models. The Boxster GTS can produce 330 brake horsepower, while the Cayman GTS produces 340 brake horsepower. The torque figures are pegged as 370Nm and 380Nm, respectively.

The engine's power is controlled through a six-speed manual transmission, though there is the option of a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. With the PDK transmission, the Boxster GTS can accelerate from a standstill to 62mph in 4.7 seconds, while the Cayman GTS does so in 4.6 seconds. This makes both models 0.3 seconds faster than their predecessors. The top speed for the Boxster GTS is pegged at 174mph, and the Cayman GTS tops out at 177mph. Both models are now Euro 6 compliant, achieving 34.4mpg with the PDK gearbox and 31.4mpg with the manual gearbox on the combined cycle.

Both models are available to order now, with the first deliveries starting in May and prices for the Porsche Boxster GTS starting at £52,879, with the Cayman GTS priced at £55,397.
