More Honda Takata recalls-The Volkswagen Transporter-the new Mercedes A Class

The Takata air bag recalls are still going strong in countries around the world and the count of models being recalled is just continuing to climb. One of the manufacturers who have been affected by these recent recalls the most is the Honda brand who have once again been hit with even more recalls this week. The company have said that due to the airbags, a result of an added figure over the 100,000 are expected to be be recalled. This figure though is for voluntary recalls which Honda are now offering over concerns about the airbags. Both the Accord and the Civic are both affected by this added figure and Honda are replacing the air bags depending on the model on the drivers side and the passenger side airbags too. Takata recalls continue to grow and grow and in the United States alone with these further voluntary recalls, we are looking at around 5.5 million vehicles from the Honda brand alone that have been recalled across the pond.

Our first glimpse of the new Mercedes Benz A Class

A brand new A Class model from Mercedes Benz is due to go on sale during the Autumn time of this year and the newly revised model has just been spotted out and about testing on the road. From the images that were posted online of the new car, there was some disguising located around the front end of the new A Class but we do still know of some new changes that are going to find place inside of the new vehicle. A redesigned back bumper and new lighting clusters will come forth and make their debut in the new A Class much similar to the designs that can be found on the new B Class model. If we switch to the opposite end of the car we can also see that the front bumper has also received some re styling. Inside of the car a new steering wheel is expected to be found alongside a brand new infotainment system. The engine range for the car however is expected to carry over the same units but will see some minor improvements. Co2 emissions wise and for overall fuel economy. The new A Class goes on sale later this year.

Volkswagen to debut their brand new Transporter next month

Volkswagen have revealed sketched images of their brand new Transporter model which is going to be seen for the very first time in Amsterdam next month. The model was revealed as a concept vehicle four years ago and was displayed in concept form under the name of the Tristar. It is said that some features are going to carry over to the production ready version of the vehicle but the main focus is said to be on the interior cabin. Alongside the reveal, Volkswagen have stated that the new Transporter will go on sale here in the United Kingdom at some point before the end of this year. Engines and specifications are yet to be confirmed for the vehicle at this moment in time but when we first saw the concept version it carried the fitting of a two litre diesel engine which was paired up to a seven speed, DSG automatic transmission. The turbo diesel and DSG route could be a strong possibility for the production model but this we are awaiting confirmation on.
