Prices for the Maserati Ghibli, said to be a rival of the 5 Series have been unveilved and they start from £48,830 for the diesel model.
The Maserati Ghibli has been described as an exotic rival to the 5 Series from BMW, the XF from Jaguar and the A6 from Audi, the prices will start at, £48,830 for the 271 brake horsepower 3.0 litre V6 diesel version, which is just under £5,000 more than the 258 brake horsepower 530d M Sport Auto from BMW.
If you move up the range, the Ghibli, powered by a 325 brake horsepower 3.0 litre V6 twin turbo petrol engine version, will be starting from £52,275, whilst the Ghibli S, range topping model, which has a 404 brake horsepower version of the same V6 engine, starts at £63,415. The Diesel Maserati Ghibli is the most economical with a 47.9 mile per gallon fuel economy and emissions of 158g. Though still gets from 0-62 miles per hour in 6.3 seconds. The 325 brake horsepower version can do the same sprint in 5.6 seconds, returns 29.4 miles per gallon and 223g, whilst the S model takes 4.8 seconds for the same sprint, returns 26.9 miles per gallon and emits 246g.
Standard equipment for all of the models include 18 inch alloy wheels, bi xenon headlamps with LED running lights and quad exhausts whilst the interior of the models get an eight speaker stereo system, leather electric seats and a wood-trim. The diesel benefit gets stop start, whilst the other three versions get climate control with 13 vents and a mechanical limited slip differential.
Although all of the models are well specced as standard, there are a wide variety of options available, including skyhook adjustable dampers for £2,045, 21 inch wheels for £3,670 and a 1,280W 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system £3,360. There are also more affordable extras such as aluminium shift paddes for £245, a space saver spare wheel for £295 and metallic paint for £660.
