Suzuki were hit with a big range of vehicle recalls on one of their biggest new models to go on sale the Celerio 2015 model. The vehicle was launched last month but a number of days later, the Japanese manufacturer issued a recall across virtually their entire new range here in the UK due to a failed brake component in the vehicle. Celerio owners were issued with a replacement vehicle whilst Suzuki attempted to repair their new models but work could not be processed due to how early on into the cars lifecycle it was. We can confirm today however that the work on getting these problems resolved has officially begun so you Celerio could be returning you quicker than you originally thought. The problem rests within the brakes which means that if you hit high speeds, there may be problems getting the brakes to work in the correct manner. The fault has been found to be due to the brake pedal mechanism not operating correctly and a statement from Suzuki has said that work has begun to fix the problem which for each car should take around thirty minutes to repair.
Jeep Wrangler and Renegade updates
American SUV designer Jeep have made the headlines this week by revealing the all new Jeep Wrangler Black edition and a new engine update for their Renegade model. The new Wrangler Black edition will feature new engine options, exterior changes and updates to the interior cabin also. As far as the engine range is concerned, we see a turbocharged 2.8 litre diesel engine up for grabs and a 3.6 litre petrol engine will also be made available. The fitting of an automatic, five speed transmission system as standard has also been confirmed for both the diesel and petrol engines. Now beginning with a look outside of the Wrangler Black edition, some of the big new features which now come as part of the package include an increase in height for the bonnet,new eighteen inch alloy wheels,new headlight designs and the Jeep logo can now also be found as the front end of the car. It may very well be the interior changes that give the Wrangler Black Edition a huge advantage over competition though and some of our personal favourite announcements include heated leather front seating,a 6.5 inch touchscreen sat nav system,USB compatibility and a hard drive carrying 40gb of memory is also included.
Jeep have also updated the engine for their popular Renegade model too which now sees the standard fitting of a 'Multiair' 2 petrol engine which carries a fuel capacity of 1.4 litres. Power for this model hits out at 170bhp which means that the Renegade will not hit a top speed limitation of 122 miles per hour. Traction control and a nine speed,automatic transmission system are just two more additions which have been made to the Renegade which will become available from dealerships in March.
The Fiat Panda K Way revealed for Geneva
Italian car maker Fiat have revealed a new special edition version of their Panda range which has been given the name of the 'K-Way' and the brand new model will go on display for the first time in Geneva at the big motor show next week. Some information has been revealed however which shows some of the changes made with the 'K-Way' including interior and exterior designs and a new engine range too. Interior changes made to the cabin will consist of Blue and Grey leather seat designs,the new K-Way logo stitched into the seats and floor mats and more storage space in the form of pockets in the back of the front seats are also included. Outside of the vehicle we see the likes of new paint schemes which include Blue, Yellow, Orange, Red, Black and White. Titanium inserts have also been made to the front bars and new mirror covers are also included.
Now as far as the engine range is concerned, three engines have been confirmed to be found inside of the car from the time of launch. Fiat will offer the 0.9 litre Twinair engine. A 1.3 litre, Multijet turbo diesel engine is up for grabs and your final option is a 1.2 litre petrol setup. Fiat have confirmed that the order books on the model will open up this coming April before the car going on sale in May.
