A number of weeks ago a Jaguar vehicle was spotted on public roads undergoing testing in the form of an all wheel drive model. However earlier on today the iconic British brand officially confirmed that this vehicle is what we all thought it was and have confirmed that they will be bringing it along with them to the Los Angeles motor show which takes place later on this month. This all wheel drive F Type has been confirmed to be a part of a planned expansion for all F Type models throughout the year 2015. The brand have confirmed some brand new details about the car regarding its performance rates and the engine that will come along with the spotted all wheel drive F Type and which vehicles are affected by this expansion.
So regarding some of the main points that you should be aware of when it comes to the new F Type expansion, it has been confirmed that the vehicle that was spied undergoing testing will come fully fitted with the addition of a three litre V6 engine. Fourteen models in total are set to be affected by these new variations all of which will be shown for the first time in LA this month. Both S and R models from the F Type range are affected by these changes being made and both Coupe and convertible variants are also set to be a part of this change. As a demonstration of some of the power changes to take affect with these models, the British firm have confirmed that the R Coupe model will now reach the 60mph area from the get go in a quick time of just 3.69 seconds in total. 186 miles per hour however will still remain the top speed that the car is capable of reaching.
Although not confirmed as of yet, it is expected that a brand new variant of the F Type could also be shown for the first time ever in LA which will feature the use of the new Ingenium engine range from Jaguar/ Land Rover.
Prices that will come along with these all new variants of the F Type are yet to be confirmed by the brand but it is believed that fourteen variations of the car are affected by these changes and will all see a release throughout the course of next year. These vehicles have been made possible thanks to a new partnership that Jaguar have announced with Bloodhound SSC who are a company trying to beat the world land speed record. We believe that the partnership stemmed between the two brands after the AWD F Type Coupe took part in a high speed communications test in South Africa. As soon as more is revealed for the new F Type range in LA this month we will keep you updated.
