In some exciting news today regarding the British manufacturer Jaguar, the brand have officially released a new image of the front end of the brand new XE production model which is all set for a public reveal at the Paris motor show this coming October. Information has already been revealed regarding the engine that will come along with this brand new addition to the Jaguar family. Jaguar have been one of Britain's leading manufacturers ever since they were founded in 1922 and have since then had many big sellers on their hands which include the likes of the E and F type variants. They run along side Land Rover who are another big selling British based brand and together they have achieved much success. So what new features have the company thrown in with the new XE production model to help maintain such high levels of success on the world wide car market ?.
Well from what we can see from the new image that was officially revealed, we see that Jaguar have included an aggressive looking front end. The picture shows the car in a bright red colour which adds to the good looks of the car in our opinion.
Engine wise it has been confirmed that the car will come fully fitted with a 2.0 litre, four cylinder engine. There will also be higher performance versions of the engine to go on sale which are expected to produce top speeds around the 186 miles per hour area. Jaguar have also confirmed that an optional engine will also come along with the XE and it will be the same used in the British firms F type sports car. This will consist of a 3.0 litre, supercharged V6. The overall power output for this variant of the car will come in at 375 brake horse power.
Lightweight materials have also ensured a smoother driving experience for the customer as 75 per cent of the car is made from aluminium. The XE model is expected to contend with the 3 series line up from BMW and could very well prove as one of the best alternatives to choose from.
Prices are still yet to be confirmed for this particular model although it is highly expected that this car will go on sale from a cost somewhere around the £29,000 area. The car will be revealed at the Paris motor show this October with a launch date expected to be announced around that time also.
