Japanese car and motorcycle brand Honda have officially confirmed that they will be a launching a brand new scooter model onto our roads next year named the Forza 125. The news was recently broken including some features and specs that will find a place in the new model. Honda have announced this new scooter model around the same time that their rival company Kawasaki have confirmed the arrival of a brand new J300 scooter for 2015 also. The two brands have been going head to head with their motorcycles for as long as we can remember. They have had rivalries with the CBR and Ninja and the Goldwing and the ZZR1400 range. Now the company are bringing the fight to each other in the scooter department. The J300 is a 299cc displacement where as the Forza is a 125cc. This makes for an interesting note though as in this day and age a vast amount of younger riders and learners are using scooters which are often restricted to 125cc engines. This could give Honda the upper hand in this case.
A full specification list has not been revealed by Honda as of yet but we do know of some of the features that will come along with it. A four valve, 125cc engine has of course been confirmed for the scooter first and foremost. A full set of LED lights and an adjustable screen will also find a place on the new Forza model. The two interesting features of the bike here however are the inclusions of ABS as standard with the model and stop start technology has also been incorporated into the Forza. The bike is available in two colour schemes which include Grey and White and Blue.
Other companies such as the Yamaha brand with the Majesty S and the Burgman 125 from Suzuki are two of the biggest sellers in the scooter division right now so can the Forza add a whole new element into the mix as far as this sector of the motorcycle industry is concerned?.
Honda have confirmed that the 125cc Forza model will officially arrive on our roads from next year with an exact date still yet to be confirmed. Regarding when you will be able to get your first glimpse at the model, the Forza will be on display for the first time ever at the Motorcycle live event which takes place from the NEC in Birmingham from the 22nd of this month until the 30th.
