Ford Fiesta ST-3 Revealed

New Ford Fiesta

Ford have revealed that a new range topping ST version Fiesta for just £19,250. The new Fiesta ST model will feature a host of extra features fitted as standard including keyless entry and automated wipers and lights.

The Fiesta model has been on top of the UK car charts for a number of consecutive months with the Focus model just behind it. Many manufacturers have stated that the reason for the success of both Ford models will be due to the 1.0 litre Eco Sport engine.

The Fiesta model has become the face of the Ford brand now as the latest Focus model has taken on the looks of the Fiesta grille. The new ST model on the other hand will be powered by the 1.6 litre Eco Boost engine rather than the more efficient 1.0 litre engine.

The new engine will have the ability to reach 0-62 mph in just 6.9 seconds with a maximum speed of 139mph. Ford have announced that the new Fiesta ST model will be on sale as of now and will be delivered in June.

Both the new Fiesta and the newly updated Focus model will face new competition at the end of the year. The new competition may be an old face but with a new engine choice and a new look. The Vauxhall Corsa model is set to be released towards the end of this year and will be powered by the firms own 1.0 litre engine.

The Vauxhall brand recently revealed the new engine technology at the Geneva Motor Show under the bonnet of a new Adam Rocks model. The new SUV shaped model revealed the biggest surprise in the form of the engine.

Both Kia and Fiat have also insisted that they plan to develop their own 1.0 litre engine to combat the success of the Fiesta model in the next 12 months.
