In order to celebrate the fifty year run of success for the fastest production motorbike in the world, the Suzuki brand this year have officially launched a brand new GSX 1300 RZ variant of the Hayabusa onto our roads. The Hayabusa has achieved much success over the years thanks to its great handling, efficiency, comfort and most of all, the power that it packs. We have seen the bike stand head to head with other top competitors on the market including the Kawasaki firm who have revealed their concept Ninja H2 model to the world. If the H2 is to be produced it will overtake the Hayabusa as the fastest bike in the world thanks to the 300 brake horse power it is reported to develop. The Hayabusa certainly does have a great reputation amongst motorcycles fans all around the world, but just what exactly have the brand done to this 50th anniversary edition of the bike in order to celebrate its reign at the top?.
So regarding some of these brand new changes that are found in the bike, we see that the firm have included some special pieces of equipment this time around with the bike as standard. Features such as an anti lock braking system, a drive mode selector and Brembo brakes are just some specialities to be found in the model. Of course with any Hayabusa model, the overall power delivered from the bike is something special. We see that with this fifty year anniversary model, the firm have included the fitting of a 1340cc,liquid cooled engine which is also joined by a direct fuel injection system. The brakes are much more rapid and make for a smoother riding experience than ever before as the model receives top of the range, Brembo brake calipers. Lightweight materials such as titanium are thrown into the mix this time around in order to help boost performance and agility.
The bike looks and structure wise pretty much shares the same design scheme as past Hayabusa additions but this version of the bike is only made available in the one paint scheme which consists of Red and Black. Changes made to the bike do seem pretty minor but this is a big milestone for the brand and the Hayabusa and there is not a doubt in our minds that the bike will remain locked in competition firmly with some of the biggest and most powerful from the likes of the Yamaha firm and the Honda brand amongst many others well into the future of the motorcycle industry.
The cost of the Hayabusa comes in at a total of £9,446 and we are pleased to make you aware of the news that you can purchase the brand new Hayabusa fifty years in the making right now from Suzuki dealerships.
