Electric cars on hire,Citroen's new crossover and Land Rover technology

The new Discovery Sport model from Land Rover is expected to be a popular choice upon its arrival for customers situated all around the globe. Often when vehicles are prepared for an upcoming launch, companies reveal images of the car but Jaguar-Land Rover have offered this in a unique way for customers interested in the new model. Land Rover have brought into play augmented reality (AR) as a way of taking a look around the new Discovery Sport. AR works as a headset which allows the customer to get an all round view of the car as if it was there right in front of them. There are presently 117 Land Rover dealerships open in the UK and all 117 will receive these new systems. This AR technology will also allow the customer to walk around the vehicle and check out every inch of the vehicle. In our opinion this is definitely a feature that will put Land Rover on the map upon the launch of the Discovery Sport and we expect that if proven to be successful, other companies may very well follow suit in the future.

Electric cars for hire in London

Electric vehicles have become increasingly more and more popular over the years, but what if you currently own a diesel or petrol vehicle or any other form of transportation but just aren't sure about buying an EV, well that is where your needs could be met from next year in London. 'The Autolib scheme' which has already been introduced in France will be making its way to the city of London from next year with a date in September expected. These 'Autolib' vehicles will be available to hire by drivers for a sign up fee of around £100 with drivers then paying £5.00 for every thirty minutes of time with the car. Twenty seven areas of London have signed up with the scheme so far and will receive more electric car charging points due to the agreement. Paris is the biggest place for the scheme to date with 3,000 vehicles on the road there being under the rental scheme. The company are hoping that the scheme will become just as popular in London also.

Citroen to produce a new crossover model?

Citroen have began work on a new crossover vehicle which could go on sale within the space of two years. The car has been sighted on the road and looks to be a modified version of the current C4 model. The modifications made to the car include a larger wheelbase which would therefore result in more interior space, a larger tyre setup compared to the standard C4 and a wider track is also clearly visible on both front and rear ends of the car. No more specifications regarding engine ranges or other technical features are to be revealed yet but with the car looking nearly ready for production, we believe that more information or a grand reveal could potentially be in the pipeline for next year.
