At the Geneva auto show in March the announcement of the car of the year 2014 will be made and this week, the news of the nominees who will compete for the top prize have been announced. A total of seven vehicles are in the line up to claim the top award. The following are the vehicles nominated: BMW 2 Series Active Tourer,the Renault Twingo,Mercedes C Class,Nissan Qashqai,Volkswagen Passat and the Citroen C4 Cactus. The last big vehicle to win the prestigious car of the year award was the Peugeot 308 which will see future success next year with the launch of the GTI. Fifty eight experts from twenty two different countries will judge the vehicles in order to decide which car deserves the car of the year award.

Ducati celebrate success
Italian motorcycle brand Ducati this week have celebrated an amazing milestone in their company by officially producing their one millionth motorcycle to come off of the production line. A Monster 1200S was the millionth model produced and the companies CEO celebrated the achievement by delivering the motorcycle to the brand new boss of the company Ernesto Passoni. The special model has received laser engraving on the handlebar structure showing the number in order to celebrate. Without a doubt, this is huge achievement for the company as they prepare for new model launches in the 2015 year.
