French manufacturer Renault are currently working on a new upcoming variation of the Twingo model. The vehicle which is expected to go on sale from August of this year has recently been spotted out and about testing with some new additions being made noteworthy.
The Twingo was originally introduced onto world wide car markets in 1992 and has certainly taken of over the course of the recent number of years. We have seen it lock horns in the past with other similar city cars from the likes of Peugeot amongst many more. This all new addition to the range though which has been spotted is expected to consist of all new power updates and changes made to the performance side of things mostly.
So what brand new features and changes will find their way into this particular model when it is released next year ?. Well unfortunately at this stage in time, nothing has been confirmed regarding the engine range that will go on sale with this particular model but we do expect to hear more on this situation over the course of the next few weeks. Turbocharged engines are expected to come along with this particular vehicle but that is yet to be confirmed.
The most powerful engine that sits in a Twingo model to this day is the 0.9 litre, three cylinder, which produces 89 brake horse power and also develops 100lb of Torque. A five speed manual transmission system is included with that Twingo too. Will this engine make it's way to the new variant though or will it consist of something even more powerful to help it go toe to toe with the likes of the Aygo from Toyota and the C1 from Citroen ?.
Will this model was officially revealed to the world at the last Geneva motor show and we are pleased to let you know that it will go on sale from Renault dealerships next month.
