Volvo have already achieved some great sales success across their SUV range with their XC60 model. The company are also expected to receive a lot more sales this year also when their brand new XC90 luxury SUV launches. What about long term future goals for the Swedish firm though?. Well the company have addressed the world by stating they are looking to boost their sales figures up over the course of the next four years and one of the ways in which they could this is by the production of a new XC40 SUV model. The brand have announced that they are to develop this vehicle and are hoping to have it launched onto our roads by the year 2019. The brand said in 2014 that they were focusing more on updating their current range of vehicle then an XC40 was their prime focus. It is a little too early to know of the specifications and just what platform the XC40 would run on but we do know this is the main aim of new models coming from Volvo.
A brand new image has today emerged online which shows the future direction and styling in which Mercedes Benz will be taking their brand new AMG GT3 model when it launches. There is some expectation that the track based performance car could go on sale from next year and it is going to be debuted for the very first time in under two weeks from the Geneva Motor Show. The new image that has been posted online reveals that the styling direction will be carried forward from the GT model on the road and it is set to be a very high performance model. From what we can see of the picture,we can clearly see swept back headlights with a sloping bonnet and it would appear that in sporty fashion, the GT3 would be carrying side skirts too. The head of Mercedes Tobias Moers has said that the car would carry over some traditional design from the GT but the company will be looking to make savings on the weight and overall dynamic aspect of the vehicle. A four litre, V8 engine is expected to be revealed for the car and a power output of somewhere in the 550bhp area could be announced. We are excited to hear more information on the new AMG GT3 next month.
First put on sale and then with a second generation launching in 2010,the Touran from Volkswagen has proven to be a popular choice amongst customers on the European market. We can however confirm today that a brand new version of the car is all set to make its presence felt next month from the Geneva Motor Show. We have already seen our very first taste of the car via images posted online of the car under wraps undergoing tests in Winter conditions. All that is really known for the time being about the car is that it will run on Volkswagen's MQB platform. This is the same platform as the latest Golf uses but it is unclear for the moment as to whether or not the same engine would carry over to the new Touran which would mean a two litre diesel and a 1.4 litre petrol setup. Information is a little quiet for the moment but we expect all to be revealed at the cars debut in Geneva.
