Kia reveal the all new Ceed GT Line

Kia have been making the headlines this morning as they have revealed that they are all set to bring along a new GT Line version of their popular Ceed model with them to the Geneva Motor Show which gets underway from next month. The Korean firm have announced that all variations of the car will be set to receive the new fittings which means that the GT changes will span across all three models with include the Pro_Ceed, the Ceed SW and of course the standard hatchback. With the new GT Line additions, you can expect to see a host of new updates made to the engine setup, the interior design and of course the exterior design. This will be the very first Ceed to undergo the GT treatment since the vehicle was first launched in 2006. The standard hatchback model is now available in its second generation with the latest model going on sale three years ago.

What new changes are brought in with the GT Line Kia Ceed?

So regarding the new changes that will find their place inside of the new Ceed GT Line, we firstly begin with a look at some of the visual changes that have been made to the car. Looking at it from the front end,we can see that the Korean firm have brought into play some brand new LED lights for the daytime which run throughout the day,an all new dual exhaust system and a wider set of rear bumpers also compliment the new seventeen inch alloy wheels very nicely. LED lighting is also used at the back end of the car too.

We cant hold our excitement so we will jump straight into the engine range to come along with the car now. Kia have included the same 1.6 CRDi diesel engine as the previous model but the big news here is that the firm have thrown into the mix a newly developed one litre, turbocharged engine which produces 118 brake horse power. CO2 emissions and overall fuel economy are also said to be vastly improved with this new engine range and we expect to hear more about these new choices in Geneva. Last but not least, we see that Kia have thrown some changes into the mix with the interior which demonstrates alloy design pedals and a steering wheel made of leather Black,White and Grey is very much a theme too as we see a lot of the new materials inside the cabin made from this colour scheme.

When does the Ceed GT Line become available?

An exact date of launch is yet to be announced by the firm but an end of year arrival on the road can be expected. More on this could be announced in Geneva this March alongside a price tag for the car. In the past, ranges like the Hyundai i30 and the Ford Focus line up have taken a place of pride going up against the Ceed but thrown in these new updates and sporty features and we could see a vehicle that fits more into place with GTI ranges.
