It appears that Italian's Fiat are preparing their popular range of 500 model for an all new facelift. Recent images recently posted online have shown one of the latest models testing out in the Winter conditions with some disguise placed over the front bumper which could very well be a nod towards a revised front bumper or grille for the vehicle. The body design structure is looking virtually identical to that of current models on the road and the engine could be expected to carry over the same line up as we see today. The company are planning for a replacement model for the current range of 500 which is due to go on sale potentially next year. Changes to the front end are all that can be expected at this moment in time but plans can always change so don't give up on the thought of other new features by the time we see a reveal for the new model.
Italian sports car designers Ferrari held a very special exclusive event yesterday which was by invite only to Ferrari owners. The event was used to be the launching pad of the sports car designers new model which has been given the name of the 488 GTB. You may very well know that this new model is being used as the brand new replacement for the companies older 458 Italia. Images taken of the car at the big event show the vehicle in a light Grey paint job featuring the long sloping and creased bonnet that we have seen on the 458 in the past. Air intakes just ahead of the rear wheels vertical headlights and cream coloured leather racing seats could also be made out rather easily from the images that were posted online. The new 488 GTB is set to be more powerful than the older 458 Italia and this is to be achieved by the fitting of the new turbocharged petrol unit carrying 3.9 litres of fuel. Information regarding a launch time and price tag to come along with the GTB is being kept under wraps for now but we expect to see a lot more of the car over the next coming months.
We all know the Apple company for their success with their range of iphone. They are also responsible for a very good alternative to that of a standard desktop pc which comes in the form of the Apple Mac. Now however the company could be investing some of their money into a new car. That's right you heard correctly, Apple could be building a brand new vehicle which is rumoured to be a new electric car. This would not be the first time a company has ventured out of their usual path to go down the car route as we all know about Google developing their very own, autonomous driving vehicle. The rumours have been circulating over the past number of days and a recent report this afternoon brings the story even closer to being true. A company known as A123 Systems who provide a lot of batteries for electric vehicles presently are apparently attempting to sue Apple over the development of new batteries. This is reportedly due to Apple working within the same field as A123 Systems. Nothing regarding a new vehicle or battery technology has been commented on by the company out of California but an electric vehicle from Apple could certainly shake up the EV market in the future.
