BMW have been doing very well both on the car market and the motorcycle market as of late. Today though we are checking in with the success of their motorcycle division from BMW Motorrad who have officially had a record breaking month for the first month of the year. Sales figures for the company on a world wide scale for the month of January have recently been announced and we now know that the company has sold over 6,200 units across all countries for the one month. In January of last year we saw sales hit 5,438 meaning that over the space of the year, the company have seen an increase of 825 new motorbike sales. This is a brilliant start to the year for the company as we look to see even more sales recorded throughout the duration of 2015 thanks to new models including R1200RS and the S1000R which will both go on sale this year.
Moto GP have released a statement to all of their motorcycle fans just one month before they return to the track. There is both good and bad news here for many different reasons. It has been announced that after revealing the return of the Donnington circuit here in the UK for the twelfth round of the championship, this will no longer be the case as the race will return to Silverstone for both this year and next year also. This is due to the failing of an agreement between the circuit of Wales and GP15 Limited unable to reach an agreement. This is sad news for those looking forward to attending the event but if you were hoping for the return to Silverstone then its not too bad at all. It has been said however that if you have already purchased your ticket for the Moto GP twelfth round in Donnington then you will receive a full money back refund within ten days.
Ducati have officially revealed their brand new entrant for the 2015 Moto GP world championship. The two riders for Ducati,Andrea Iannone and Andrea Dovizioso were on hand when the new model was revealed. This comes just days after Yamaha revealed their brand new racing bikes for the 2015 season. The new racer was revealed in the same White and Red paint scheme as last year carrying slick tyres and of course sponsored by Bridgestone. The bikes will take to the track for the very first time from the 23rd of this month when pre season testing begins in Malaysia.
