Infiniti Q70 engines-Audi electric vehicles-Volvo

Audi have revealed plans which will see them offer two electronic vehicles on the market by the year 2018. Electronic models are certainly increasing in popularity with the Tesla brand being one of the most recognisable companies for them. A range of companies have joined in on the fun over the past number of years including BMW with their i3. With Audi revealing plans of two new models though, the segment could be all set to receive more competition than ever before. Audi have recently revealed their £19 billion investment into new cars and technology so it would be considered that both new electric vehicles would be a part of this investment. Rupert Stadler who is the Chief Executive of Audi has revealed that the firm are developing a new sports vehicle and a sports activity vehicle both running from just electricity. The only information revealed on the cars however was that the SAV model would see a range of around 310 miles from a full charge and would also operate on a four wheel drive platform. Nothing more is currently known about the vehicles specification wise but as soon as anymore information is revealed on the vehicles, we will keep you in the know.

The Infiniti Q70 set to receive new engine

Infiniti are looking to make the Q70 model more of a contender on the roads when it comes to taking on some top flight competition. The company have announced that they are including a brand new engine in the vehicle now which has been borrowed from the Mercedes Benz E Class. The engine unit consists of a 2.2 litre, turbo diesel unit and has a power output of 170 bhp. Fuel economy wise this means that we will see this version of the Q70 return 57mpg and CO2 emissions have seen a good improvement from 199g/km now coming in at 129g/km.

Its not just these changes that find a place inside the refreshed model though, the firm are also set to make changes both inside and outside of the car too which will help to see the Q70 performing much better and much more comfortably. Prices for the facelifted model are unknown as of yet but we do know that the car will go on sale from next month.

Volvo offering the best discount vehicle

There have been a good selection of new car deals on the road this month and this Christmas it has been revealed that the biggest discount available is on an S80 model from Swedish car manufacturer Volvo. A total of £7,312 was found to be taken of the list price of the S80 which works out at nearly a quarter of the price tag. This model comes in the form of an executive saloon therefore resulting in some good space inside of the car and that luxurious driving experience that you can expect from any saloon. The discount on price was found by mystery shoppers from What Car?. Could this big saving on the vehicle perhaps convince customers to make the purchase on the S80 though over some fierce contenders such as the BMW 5 Series and the A6 from Audi?.
