The brand new BMW R1200 RS is coming in 2015


It is quite a treat from the motorbike world to see the BMW motorcycle division delivering on a sports machine rather than a tourer model. Tourers are well known amongst BMW's motorcycle sector but now the brand are attempting to revive their sports sector by bringing back the R1200 RS. Images of the bike have been posted by the company as have some details regarding specifications and features of the machine. The bike is expected to be put on display from the EICMA motorcycle show next month but can it be the top player in the motorcycle sports division for 2015?.

 

What specifics and features for the BMW R1200 RS have been revealed?

Now in regards to some of the features that we can expect to find in the R1200 RS, the firm have shown images of the bike in a Blue and White paint scheme. Sharing a similar look to that of the classic paint scheme of the Suzuki GSXR line up. The engine line up to come along with the bike has also been confirmed by the company which includes a liquid and air cooled boxer engine developing 125 horsepower in total. There are also some special features included with the R1200 RS which are used in order to help enhance your overall riding experience with BMW. Features such as dynamic traction control, automatic stability control, five total riding models and ABS also comes along with the bike as standard.

 

There are many sports bikes that are on offer around the world that could deliver on excellent sources of competition for the R1200 RS which include the Triumph Speed Triple and the CBR 1000 Fireblade from the Honda firm.

 

Does the future look bright for the BMW R1200 RS?

The brand new sports bike addition of the R1200 RS will officially arrive on our roads from next year with a public display set to occur from November next month. A price tag remains unconfirmed from the brand directly but we do expect to hear more on the matter when the bike is officially revealed next month.
