The Ducati 1199 Superleggra the best sports bike to own ?

The Italian motorbike Ducati who are now owned by car maker Audi, have proven to be one of the leading companies on the motorbike market for many years. They have had much well achieved success from bikes such as the 999 and the 998 along side the Monster line up they currently have on offer. Today though we take a look at perhaps the finest addition to the sports bike world which comes in the shape of the 1199 Superleggra model. This machine from the Italian manufacturer has certainly proven to be one of Ducati's biggest sellers on both the new and used motorbike markets and we think the majority of thanks here goes the power aspect of the model that has helped it as a top flight contending rival for other companies such as Honda and Yamaha.

What makes the Ducati 1199 Superleggra something special ?

So as we have previously stated the main focus point of this particular motorbike is indeed the power that it possesses. We see the use of a 1198cc engine that comes complete with a liquid cooling system. It hits out at 11,500 revs per minute and develops 134NM of Torque. A Mitsubishi electronic fuel injection system also helps with throttle response times for this particular model. As standard, a six speed transmission and a wet multi-plate clutch also makes it's way into the 1199 Superleggra. A fully adjustable Ohlins suspension system makes it's way into the 1199 too to help it perform as a softer and much more enjoyable riding experience.

At this point in time the only colour option available is Red and White.

What's the cost of a brand new Ducati 1199 Superleggra ?

The official price tag that comes along with this motorbike brand new currently stands at £54,000 which is a hefty price. This model of Ducati is only producing 500 units of the bike across the world. To purchase one of these models if you are lucky enough to find one, it is best to contact your local Ducati dealer to find out more information.
