In some of the latest breaking news today to come out of the French car company known as Peugeot, we are pleased to report on the news that has come out today regarding a brand new facelift for the 508 model which will be all set to be released onto our roads from September of this year. The 508 is one of the flagship vehicles on offer from the manufacturer and has proven to have much success around the world for a number of years. In the past it has proven to be an ideal rival for the likes of the Mondeo from Ford and we think that with the addition of this all new face lift model to the range, the success and sales figures for this particular vehicle could be raised to the next level.
So what has been revealed so far regarding what has made it into this brand new vehicle for this year and what is it about the car that will help it stand out against the likes of other top car brands such as Audi and BMW ?. The vehicle will benefit from an all new engine choice and some new additional pieces of equipment also. So if we take a look into the engine and the performance of this particular car, we see the addition of a 2.0 litre,Blue HDI Diesel engine that will overall produce 150 brake horse power. Two other engine ranges will be on offer also which include another 2.0 Blue HDI which will produce 180 bhp and your third and final option will come in the form of a 1.6 litre, THP Turbo engine that will put out a grand total of 165 brake horse power. All of these variants will also benefit from a six speed, automatic gearbox.
Some new additional pieces of equipment to come along with the car this September will include an all new seven inch touch screen, blind spot sensors and a brand new reversing camera will also come as part of the package too.
We are pleased to let you know that it has been confirmed that this facelift version of the 508 will officially go on sale from the tenth of September this year and it will sell at a cost somewhere around the £20,000 area.
