BMW 2 series Active Tourer information revealed

BMW is taking orders at the moment for it's brand new people carrier, the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, which has a starting price of £22,150. When the company announced the Multi purpose Vehicle earlier on in the year, it proved to be a rather controversial model for it, as it if the first car in the history of the brand to feature front wheel drive.

The those people who are happy to overlook this fact and the unconventionality of the model's drivetrain, delivery for the 2 Series Active Tourer will be starting from September of this year.

Everything you need to know about the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer

The base-spec BMW 218i SE Active Tourer model comes with a whole host of equipment as standard, such as rear parking sensors, two zone automatic air conditioning, a DAB radio and a 6.5 inch infotainment system, which also features a CD player.

Customers, for the price of £23,400 are able to purchase a BMW 218i Sport Active Tourer and for the diesel model it costs £24,455 and it adds 17 inch sport alloy wheels along with LED lighting, sports front seats, sport enhancements to the styling on the exterior of the car and a black high gloss trim.

Customers who are looking for a more upmarket Active Tourer model can go for the Luxury option, which has a £3,000 premium over the SE model and comes with 17 inch luxury alloy wheels, along with LED lighting, leather upholstery, wood trim, chrome line exterior and luxury enhancements to the exterior styling of the car.

Other features thrown in with this BMW machine

For people who are looking for a really sporty styled people carrier, then there will be an M Sport spec of the BMW 1 Series Active Tourer available from November this year, for a further £3,000 over the SE model. This specification adds 18 inch alloy wheels, aerodynamic styling, leather seats and M Sport suspension. So with that in mind we see this all new BMW model as an ideal rivaling contender for the likes of the Mercedes B Class model and the Golf from Volkswagen .

If you are a BMW fan who would like a bit of extra room in your car for the family, then this is the perfect model for you, get your orders in now and you only have to wait three months until September.
