Geneva Motor Show Summary

Geneva Motor Show Round Up

It has been nearly two weeks since the Geneva Motor Show ended, but we at Gap Insurance 123 wanted to let you know what we thought of the models on show. We brought you the news of new models as it came in and featured such models as the Audi TT, S1, Toyota Aygo, Renault Twingo and the Citroen C4 Cactus within our blog posts.

The Geneva Motor Show has a number of exciting models on show, but the most expensive or the fastest model on show did not necessarily excite the automotive market. In recent years, the manufacturer who have created something completely different and broke the conventions have been the most success manufacturers both at the motor shows and in the car market.

For example, the likes of the Nissan Juke and Qashqai models were something that had never been built before them and in fact these models created their own market of models. Since the models first graced the stage of a motor show a number of years back, the pair have gone on to feature in top ten best selling markets across Europe.

Last year, the Citroen C4 Cactus made the most headlines when it first appeared at the Geneva Motor Show. However, since then the model has reached production stage and was revealed as a production model just two weeks ago. The Citroen model is arguably going to be the most successful model to come away from the show as it takes on a futuristic look and is believed to be priced somewhere in the region of £13,000.

Citroen have also come together with both Peugeot and Toyota as the second generation of small city cars have been built. Toyota seemed to be the most successful in styling the model and making it stand out from the crowd. The small city car market is said by many in the industry to be the most congested car market in the industry. It is believed that there are a choice of over 30 different models in this one segment. The new Toyota Aygo has a cross design with a number of interesting colour options which helps the model become one of the most attractive models in the segment.
