New Vauxhall Adam Specs

New Vauxhall Adam Specs

Vauxhall are set to release two new specifications of Adam models to help build on the sales and success of the Adam model last year. Vauxhall recently announced a new Adam Rocks model at the Geneva Motor Show this week which captured a number of headlines.

The European city car market currently has a total of 1.2 million cars sold and Vauxhall and the Adam models would like a greater share of the pie. The Vauxhall Adam Rocks will also be joined by the Adam S model in the next number of months.

The Vauxhall Adam Rocks surprised a number of automotive journalists with the styling, build and engine choice on the model. The build is similar to that of a model in the crossover market as it looks like the new Adam Rocks model will back up the Mokka in the crossover market.

However, the biggest surprise came under the bonnet as a new 1.0 litre Eco Tec engine made an appearance. Vauxhall and other manufacturers have highlighted the 1.0 litre Eco Sport engine as being a stroke of genius and the main reason why the likes of the Fiesta and the Focus models have been a success.

Vauxhall have long been in a battle with the US manufacturer Ford as the likes of the Fiesta and the Corsa models go head to head. The Vauxhall Adam model will once again go up against the likes of the Fiat 500 and the Mini range of models.

The new Adam Rocks is thought to be a direct response to the building of the Fiat 500 Trekking. The Fiat 500 Trekking was the Fiat firms response to the success of the crossover range of models such as the likes of the Nissan Juke and the Nissan Qashqai. However, it is believed that the Adam Rocks model will quickly overtake the small amount of sales achieved by the Fiat 500 Trekking.
