New Subaru Legacy

New Subaru Legacy 2015

The Japanese firm Subaru, have themselves released a new teaser image of the new Legacy model. The Legacy model has been the only remaining model on sales for the past 12 months in the UK as the firm pulled the more costly Subaru models out.

However, in recent months a number of rumours have been circling round the manufacturer over returning a number of models to the UK.

The Subaru Legacy model is set to be manufactured and ready for production towards the end of 2015 but may well make its first public appearance at the Chicago Motor Show later this month. The Japanese firm are yet to confirm whether or not the model will be joining the UK. As mentioned earlier, Subaru decided to pull the majority of models from the market following a lack of sales and it looks to be an uncertainty surrounding the brand within the UK.

The latest Legacy concept model has already been on show at the Tokyo Motor Show late last year. However, this model was rumoured to be a considerable amount larger in size than the planned finished model. A Subaru spokesperson had come out after the unveiling with an official statement regarding the size of the model. He simply stated that a different and finalised version of the model had already been agreed and confirmed.

What is yet to be confirmed is of course the engine choice and power of the model. It is believed that the model is likely to feature the 173bhp four cylinder turbocharged 250bhp 2.5 litre engine. However, the model should come with the smaller optional engine size of 2.0 litre. It is believed that the model will be focusing the power on all four wheels of the Legacy model.

The Japanese brand has been fighting a lost battle over the last number of years, as the main rival Mitsubishi continue to increase the range of models and the percentage of market share globally.

The sporting appearance so often found on the Subaru model is ever present on the Legacy model as the rising front windscreen with the narrow A-pillars help to achieve the objective.
